“Birds Eye View” is one that I hear and even use. I can’t help but say it when I’m top of a mountain, house, or any tall structure and can see the who layout of the land. I think also everyone alive has dreamed at least being able to fly.
How about “sitting duck”? This saying says it all. It is hard to describe what this even means without saying “he/she is a sitting duck”
In fact I read a movie review describe that describes the actors in the film as “sitting ducks”.
What better saying encapsulates a bird more than the saying “Free as a Bird”. All of us wish for this in one way or another during our life, be it personal or professional. Even the feeling of being “Free as a Bird”, invokes ideas of creativity and enlightenment.
It also happens to be part of the title of one of the Greatest Rock Songs of all time: Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird”.
May I Suggest “Naked as a jay bird”. I don’t know much about Jay birds or even if Jay Birds exist at all. But, I do know that all of us are familiar with this common saying.
By the way these bird quotes are fun to find and think about.
“Eat like a bird”. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard this one.
It is funny to think that if we did eat with a bird it would rather gross depending on what your diet was worms, crickets, bugs if your robin or swallow. Rats, birds, carrion if your an eagle, hawk,or vulture.
Regardless,I really like this phrase too.
